Subtleties in Yama & Niyamawith Pandit Dabral, PhD, ERYT-500Saturday, Nov 20th, 1:00 - 3:00 PM (Zoom Only)
Patanjali introduced Ashtanga Yoga (Yoga of Eight Limbs) in his Yoga Sutra's seminal text on philosophy and practice of meditation leading to enlightenment. The first two of these eight limbs are Yama's and Niyama's. These limbs would form the rails of the ladder of the eight practices in Ashtanga Yoga. The Yama's and Niyama's purify our external relationships and bring about internal growth. They form the foundation of one's spiritual practice and understanding their role and their subtleties is essential to making good progress.Pandit Dabral is our spiritual director and is a disciple of Swami Rama & Swami Veda in Himalayan Tradition. He is a premier teacher within Himalayan Tradition and as both a Sanskrit scholar and a deep meditator, he is uniquely qualified to explain the intricacies of these two practices.
