The Upanishads are ancient scriptures that contain the eternal truths about Atman and Brahman as imparted by sages and seers in deep meditative states to their chosen disciples in a question-answer format. The Chandogya Upanishad sheds mystical light on the concept of Yajna, the act of sacrifice. It contains the famous stories of the bright students Satyakama and Shvetaketu in their quests for truth and their dialogues with their teachers. It contains the story of wandering sage Narada and his inquiry with sage Sanatkumara about the knowledge of The Infinite. During this workshop, we will read these and other stories in this Upanishad, and understanding their teachings.
