Continuing review of an advanced approach to performing and teaching hatha yoga.
The second module of this three 18-hour Advanced Hatha module series will focus more on class design and sequencing of practices to decrease risk for more advanced asanas and pranayama. More in-depth study of teaching individual poses prior to vinyasa practice sequences will be addressed. The study of energetic flows and restrictions will be offered for the various poses. Krishnamacharya insisted students perfect each of the poses individually before combining them into a flow series. Please be prepared with a list of poses to study that are of particular interest to you, including how you would prepare a student for those poses. Emphasis will be on practices performed standing as well as on the mat. Inversions will be addressed in the third weekend series. Advanced Hatha Yoga – I module is a prerequisite for this workshop.
