Biofeedback is well-recognized as a powerful, non-invasive, and relatively simple way to measure subtle changes in the emotional and physiological state. The goal is to learn self-regulation. Self-regulation skills are a prerequisite to learning stress management skills.
These same skills also us to check and refine the breathing and relaxation skills used in the meditation process.
The three keys to learning self-regulation will be discussed, and there will also be demonstrations of the equipment. Sensors include respiration, heart rate, skin temperature, muscle tension, and skin conductance. (Recommended for TTP300 students)
Following the workshop, participants have an opportunity to further their understanding of stress management with a private psycho-physiological stress profile with Daniel Hertz. Cost is $20 for 20 minutes.
