The Himalayan Tradition has crossed national, ethnic and religious boundaries for millennia. In this series of workshops, our special theme will be the relationship of the Tibetan and Himalayan traditions of ayurveda and yoga. We will explore a range of theories and practices from the spiritual view of wellness and disease to the common ground of food practices, including specific yogic and healing practices culled from these related traditions.
HYMC Community Programs are open events that give people an opportunity to come together and celebrate the Spirit of Life. These are free programs but a donation is always appreciated in support of HYMC as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.
This new monthly program will introduce the students and participants to the teachings of Himalayan Tradition directly from the Himalayan masters and senior teachers within the tradition.
Each program session focuses on a specific subject in the areas of yoga, meditation, spirituality, teaching, and diversity in spirituality.
Each sessoin, the group will watch two to three video transcripts (depending upon the length) or audio transcripts along with a brief discussion of the concepts being discussed during the program to deepen participants' understanding.
Our MISSION is to help individuals realize their full potential, lead a healthy and balanced life with mindfulness through teaching of yoga, meditation, and philosophy as taught by Himalayan masters.
Our VISION is to alleviate human suffering.
