Dear HYMC Family,
On the auspicious day of Tuesday 14th July 2015, our beloved Swami Veda Bharati left his physical body at 3 am (India time). Please keep his intention in your mind - "Let every person feel loved."
We will be holding an Akhanda Japa on Guru Purnima (Friday July 31st) at our center in Palatine in offering prayers and remembrance of his life and his gifts to all those whose lives he touched.
Friday July 31st 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM : Viewing of his biographical video (Tat-vam-Asi) and reading of his poetry in remembrance of his messages.
Friday July 31st 7:00 PM - Saturday Aug 1st 7:00 PM : 24 hour Akhanda Japa of Gayatri mantra as an offering to our beloved saint.
There will be NO CLASSES during Akhanda Japa (from Friday July 31st 7:00 PM thru Saturday Aug 1st 7:00 PM).
The Akhanda Japa (unbroken recitation) will be performed throughout during the 24 hour period, with volunteers offering their recitation each hour. At each top of the hour, the volunteers would replace those from the previous hour, thereby maintaining an unbroken (akhanda) recitation. Please sign up for the hour(s) of your preference by e-mailing to Diane McDonald or by registering on the website for the Akhanda Japa event on the calendar on July 31st.
